About Me
I bring a wide range of experience in the field of social work, having served individuals and communities across Virginia in various capacities. My professional journey began with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Social Work, with a minor in Human Services, from Mary Baldwin College in 1998. Motivated by a deep desire to serve others, I went on to earn a Master of Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2005. Today, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the Commonwealth of Virginia, dedicated to making a meaningful difference in the lives of those I support.
Over the years, I’ve worked across diverse settings, including adult and juvenile criminal justice systems, community-based programs, crisis stabilization, case management, social services, and outpatient therapy. These experiences have equipped me to connect with individuals from all walks of life, regardless of race, gender, socioeconomic background, or belief system. I strive to create a compassionate, judgment-free space where people feel safe to explore, heal, and grow.
In addition to my clinical work, my personal health journey has become a powerful part of my mission. After naturally losing over 100 pounds in one year, I felt called to help others achieve their own wellness goals. This experience led me to develop a weight loss coaching program that blends therapeutic insight with practical tools for long-term, sustainable change. I know the emotional and physical challenges of this journey firsthand—and the transformation that’s possible on the other side.
Whether I’m supporting clients with their mental health or guiding them toward wellness, my work is rooted in empathy, empowerment, and the belief that lasting change begins with meeting people where they are. My goal is to walk alongside each person with care, respect, and unwavering support as they reclaim their lives and move toward a more fulfilling future.
