My name is Latesha Adkins, LCSW, and I know firsthand how overwhelming the weight loss journey can feel. For years, I struggled with my weight facing the emotional ups and downs, the “quick fix” promises, and the endless cycle of starting over. In February 2024, I made a decision that changed my life. Through consistency, mindset shifts, and sustainable habits not surgery, medications, or restrictive diets I lost over 160 pounds naturally in less than two years.
But what I gained was far greater than what I lost: I gained my confidence, my health, my joy, and my life back.
That’s why I created Therapy Driven Weight Loss (TDWL). As a licensed therapist, I saw how much mental and emotional health played a role in my own transformation, and I realized countless others were struggling with the same barriers emotional eating, stress, self-doubt, and all-or-nothing thinking. TDWL is not a diet program. It’s a therapy-based, sustainable lifestyle approach that combines practical tools with mental health strategies to help you break free from the cycle and finally see lasting change.
