Insurance & Payment Options
At Happy Place Therapeutic Services, we believe mental health care should be accessible to everyone. We accept most major insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid.
Because our practice operates entirely through Telehealth, all active clients are required to keep a credit or debit card on file in the secure Patient Portal. Payments are due prior to the start of each session, and cards are stored safely in our HIPAA-compliant system. Your card will be charged within 24 hours of your appointment. If a payment is declined, your session may need to be rescheduled until the balance is cleared.
Missed Appointment & Late Cancellation Policy
Late Policy: If you do not enter the virtual waiting room within 15 minutes of your scheduled session, the call will be disconnected. You’ll need to reschedule, and a $50 missed appointment fee may be assessed.
Missed Appointment Policy: A $50 fee will be charged to the card on file for appointments not canceled or rescheduled at least 24 hours in advance.
Self-Pay & Out-of-State Clients
If you’re uninsured or not located in Virginia, we also offer self-pay options. We understand that financial circumstances vary, and we don’t want cost to be the reason you go without care.
